{"id":6058,"date":"2015-01-26T17:16:15","date_gmt":"2015-01-26T17:16:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.firstofallpray.com\/?p=6058"},"modified":"2015-01-26T21:18:53","modified_gmt":"2015-01-26T21:18:53","slug":"checking-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.firstofallpray.com\/?p=6058","title":{"rendered":"Checking in"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I wanted to touch base and let you know that I will be taking one more week away from the blog here at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.FirstOfAllPray.com\">www.firstofallpray.com \u00a0<\/a>to spend a bit more time seeking God with fewer distractions.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s obvious that the world out there is in desperate need of prayer\u2014whether any of them realize it or not! You and I are the ones called to that assignment\u2014we are watchmen. As we seek God for those in our lives, those in the news, and\u00a0folks all around the world\u2014in short, for<em>\u00a0<\/em>ALL men, for kings, and for all who are in authority (see 1 Timothy 2)\u2014we can trust that He will hear from Heaven and act on behalf of those for whom we pray.<\/p>\n<p>While you pray, be sensitive to any adjustments, corrections, or leadings\u00a0from the Holy Spirit He may reveal for your <em>own<\/em> life\u2014and then trust Him to help you as you yield to these things. You see, Habakkuk 2:1 states, &#8220;<em>I will stand on my guard post a<span class=\"text Hab-2-1\">nd station myself on the rampart; a<\/span><span class=\"text Hab-2-1\">nd I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, a<\/span><\/em><span class=\"text Hab-2-1\"><em>nd how I may reply when <strong>I<\/strong> am reproved<\/em>.&#8221; In other words, as you seek God on behalf of others\u2014doing the job of the watchman\u2014quite often He will also speak to your heart about <em>you<\/em> and <em>your<\/em> ways. This is not a cause for fear but for increase and growth as you receive intimate, personalized discipleship and mentoring\u00a0from the Holy Spirit\u00a0Himself.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Like the groundhog, I plan to emerge from underground and be back online February second. That&#8217;s when I intend to resume with the study of the Book of James.
